The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and Alaska Geographic conducted the 5th year of Composing in the Wilderness.  This one-of-a-kind wilderness field course takes composers into the backcountry of Denali National Park for four days of inspiration, then transports the whole group by bush plane to Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve for another four days of composing time before returning them to Fairbanks where they meet up with top-notch performers at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival where their works are rehearsed and premiered.
